Ramadan Fundraising

Ramadan is the Arabic name for the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, it is considered one of the holiest months for Muslims, and is marked by a period of fasting, considered one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

Extra emphasis is placed on reciting the Qu’ran during the month of Ramadan, Muslims are also encouraged to give to charity, strengthen their relationship with God, and show kindness and patience.

During the Month of Ramadan, we’re proud to announce that some of our colleagues have pledged their daily ‘lunch’ money to the Parklane Foundation. We’d like to say a very big thank you to; Naveen Ahmed, Sameer Ahmed, Nadeem Ahmed, Shaan Ahmed, Noor Ahmed, Haaris Ahmed, Fahad Ahmed and Hanif Malik. This initiative is running across 20 working days throughout Ramadan.

The money raised will help our three chosen Charities of the Year; Dementia UK, Alzheimer’s Society and Leeds Hospitals Charity, with the focus on being to help those and their families affected by Dementia.

What a lovely gesture - THANK YOU!
