It has already been an incredible summer for the Parklane Foundation.
From early morning tee times and marathon golf challenges to community projects and fundraising taking place across the country, the past few months have shown exactly what can happen when people come together for a good cause.
At the Parklane Foundation, our mission is to help build better futures within our local communities through fundraising initiatives, community-inspired projects and charity partnerships. This summer, our colleagues, partners, friends and supporters have certainly helped us do just that.
72 Holes, One Day and Over £12,000 Raised
Our summer of giving got off to an incredible start in June with the return of our annual Golfathon at Leeds Golf Centre.
Now in its fifth year, the challenge saw nine golfers take on an enormous 72 holes of golf in just one day, beginning with a 4:30am tee-off and continuing throughout the day.
It was a true test of endurance, but every hole played had a bigger purpose.
Through the fantastic generosity of everyone who donated and supported the golfers, the challenge raised just over £12,000 for our charity partners including our 2026 Charity Partner, Koalaa Prosthetics.
Koalaa is working to make prosthetics more accessible, affordable and comfortable, helping people with limb differences take part in everyday activities and live life with greater independence.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, donated and helped make this year's Golfathon such a success.
Celebrating 50 Years and Giving Back
July brought another special occasion as friends, colleagues and partners joined us at Leeds Golf Centre for the annual Parklane Group Golf Day.
This year's event had even more significance as we celebrated 50 years of The Parklane Group.
It was an opportunity to say thank you to many of the people and businesses who have supported the Group throughout its journey, while continuing the culture of giving back that has always been at the heart of the business.
Alongside a brilliant day of golf, food and networking, guests helped us raise £2,665 for Koalaa.
We're extremely grateful to everyone who attended, donated and supported the day. Bringing people together is a huge part of what we do at the Parklane Foundation, and events like this demonstrate how celebrating, connecting and fundraising can go hand in hand.
Roomzzz Gives Back Raises a Record £60,500
The fundraising continued throughout July as teams across Roomzzz Aparthotels came together for Roomzzz Gives Back 2026.
Taking place from 6th to 26th July, the initiative saw Roomzzz teams across the country organise their own fundraising activities in support of the Parklane Foundation and Koalaa Prosthetics.
From virtual cycling challenges and baking to BBQs, car washes and team events, each aparthotel found its own way to get involved.
Guests also had the opportunity to support the campaign through the Lucky Room Raffle, with one lucky winner receiving an overnight stay at every Roomzzz Aparthotel.
The response was incredible.
Together, Roomzzz Gives Back 2026 raised a record-breaking £60,500, an achievement that reflects the enthusiasm of the hotel teams and the generosity of guests, colleagues and supporters.
It was a fantastic example of how businesses can bring charitable giving into everyday activity and encourage hundreds of people to get involved along the way.
Giving Back Isn't Always About Fundraising
While fundraising plays an important role in the work of the Parklane Foundation, making a difference isn't always about the amount of money raised.
This summer, we were also delighted to continue our partnership with Leeds City College on a community mural project.
Talented students were invited to submit designs based around the theme of community, with three winning designs ultimately chosen and combined to create the final mural.
The project gave students the opportunity to showcase their creativity while creating something that celebrates the communities around us.
Projects like this are an important part of what the Parklane Foundation stands for. Whether we're raising funds, creating opportunities, developing partnerships or simply bringing people together, our aim remains the same: to have a positive and lasting impact.
The Power of Community
Looking back at everything that has happened over the past few months, there is one common thread running through it all: people.
None of these achievements would be possible without the individuals who give their time, take on challenges, make donations, organise events, share our campaigns and support our charity partners.
The Parklane Foundation has always believed in the power of community. By working together, we can amplify the impact of individual acts of generosity and turn them into something much bigger.
Whether that's nine golfers taking on 72 holes, hundreds of hotel guests buying raffle tickets, businesses supporting a charity golf day or students using their creativity to celebrate their community, every contribution matters.
There's More to Come
Summer 2026 has already given us plenty to celebrate, but our work doesn't stop here.
We'll continue working alongside our charity partners, colleagues and communities throughout the remainder of the year, creating more opportunities to fundraise, collaborate and give back.
To everyone who has supported the Parklane Foundation so far this year: thank you.
Every donation, every challenge, every event and every act of support helps us continue our mission of building better futures and making a lasting difference.
And we're only getting started.
