The Parklane Foundation Apprentice Challenge brought together teams from across the business for a week of fundraising, teamwork and community spirit and together we are proud to announce that we raised an incredible £17,705 for our 2026 charity partner, Koaala.
The challenge gave every department the opportunity to create their own fundraising activities, encouraging creativity, collaboration and a little healthy competition along the way. From raffles and bake sales to endurance challenges and sporting events, every team played their part in making this year’s challenge such a huge success.
A Team Effort Across The Business
Each team approached the challenge differently, coming up with unique and engaging ways to raise money while bringing colleagues together.
Roomzzz
The Roomzzz team took on an impressive one million step challenge, with every team member contributing steps throughout the week to hit the huge target. Alongside this, they hosted a popular jacket potato lunch in the office to raise additional funds.
PLP City
PLP City organised a raffle featuring some fantastic prizes, including a meal for two at Harvey Nichols and a cylinder service for landlords, helping generate great support across the business.
PLP Headingley / rentinc / Hive
The PLP Headingley, rentinc and Hive teams combined forces to deliver several fundraising activities. They raffled a luxury stay for two at The Hilton York with a meal at Rudy’s, alongside organising a cake sale, raffle and car wash at Hive, all of which proved hugely popular.
Marketing & HR
The Marketing and HR teams got creative with a range of fundraising ideas, including selling treat boxes and bags of crisps, as well as raffling a sweet hamper. To mark 50 years of The Parklane Group, every team member also completed 50 miles over the week.
IT
The IT department raised funds by selling unused IT equipment, turning old tech into valuable donations for charity.
Finance / Interiors / Developments
These teams came together to host two exciting raffles, with prizes including a carpet fitting with underlay included and a brand-new TV.
UOWN
UOWN supported the challenge by selling donated used golf clubs, helping give pre-loved equipment a new home while raising money for a great cause.
Leeds Golf Centre
A huge congratulations goes to Leeds Golf Centre, who took on one of the most demanding challenges of the week. Over a gruelling 24-hour driving range challenge, the team virtually travelled from John O’Groats to Land’s End through sheer determination and teamwork.
Their incredible efforts saw them raise an outstanding £5,533, earning them first place in this year’s Apprentice Challenge.
Iconinc
The Iconinc team hosted a variety of on-site fundraising activities, including guess the sweets in the jar, selling milkshakes and cookies, and organising a competitive padel tournament for colleagues and friends.
Supporting Koaala in 2026
The Apprentice Challenge once again demonstrated the passion and generosity of teams across The Parklane Group. Every raffle ticket purchased, every mile completed and every challenge taken on will help support the incredible work of Koaala in 2026.
A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone involved. Your efforts continue to help the Foundation build better futures within our communities through fundraising, partnership and giving.
